The number of deals has gone down since 2018, but the deal sizes are bigger.

US market insights:
Edtech funding between January and July 2020 reached $706 million across 85 deals.
This is up slightly from $678 million during the same period the year prior, but the number of deals is down from the same time frame in 2019 at 108 deals.
EdTech funding for U.S.-based companies has remained steady over the past five years for the January to July period, although the number of deals has been on the decline.
China’s Yuanfudao, which raised a $1 billion Series Gin March, holds the title with the largest EdTech fundraises year to date, followed by Chinese startup Zuoebang’s $750 million Series E in June.
