Founder & Principal

VINNI BHANDARI

Vinni has lived in and participated in the education systems in the US, Europe, and Asia, bringing a unique perspective to the challenges and opportunities in these large learning and education environments. She brings these skills to her work in the edtech, health tech, and global health spaces in her current role as the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Onramp Group. She advises and invests in start-ups on the development of their management teams, strategy refinement, and target audience identification.

As a subsidiary of the parent company OnRamp Group, Ms. Bhandari founded Onramp Education LLC, an innovative digital platform designed to assist young people in their journey towards higher education. The platform provides a centralised digital locker where students can store and organise their accolades, awards, and interests, empowering them to create compelling narratives for their university applications to global institutions. In 2018, Onramp Education was acquired by an Indian edtech company to expand its comprehensive product suite and offer enhanced services to its users.

Bhandari is currently an investor through a Family Office investment vehicle.  Prior to founding the Onramp Group, Ms. Bhandari was with TJX Companies in Boston, where she led the management of their digital marketing efforts focused on advancing the North American brands of T.J.Maxx, Marshalls and Bob’s Stores.

Before her tenure at TJX Companies, Vinni worked in entrepreneurial roles, including Director of Data Mining Consulting Services at Manna, Inc., an US-Israeli startup focused on using real-time artificial intelligence models to enhance cross-sell and up-sell opportunities to consumers during their online browsing experiences. She also worked closely with a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to co-author a data mining case study that is used to teach an Operations Research course at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

She also holds several Independent Directorships for both for-profit and non-profit organisations:

  • Director and co-founder of the Freedom Fellows Program, a scholarship program enabling highly vulnerable children, some rescued from child exploitation, who demonstrate academic potential to receive financial and mentoring support to pursue higher education and promising careers.
  • Board of Directors member (UK) of Room to Read, supporting global literacy and education equality efforts. Over 40 million+ students in 24 countries around the world have benefited from the literacy program.
  • Board of Directors member of Rutgers UK, supporting global literacy and education equality efforts since 2000. Over 40 million+ students in 24 countries around the world have benefited from the literacy, life skills and girls education programs creating lifelong learners who are breaking the cycle of illiteracy within their own families and communities.
